IS IT MY BIRTHDAY?!Penny Marshall is directing another movie about ladies in baseball and this one is about a real life civil rights crusader, baseball team owner, and all around badass. I AM GOING TO PEE MYSELF I AM SO EXCITED.
December 14, 2014 @ 5:10 pmYL33I am utterly charmed by this feature on the first female ham radio operators. They are joining lady pilots and code breakers in my Early 20th Century Heroines file.
December 14, 2014 @ 5:08 pmI wish this surprised me.A therapist goes to middle school and tries to sit still and focus. She can't. Neither can the kids. This is one of the big reasons I won't send my kids to school. (And for heaven's sake, don't tell me how YOUR kid's school is different. If that's true, it's WONDERFUL. It's also very very rare.)

February 8, 2015 at 8:04amHi,
I found your Soledad sweater on Ravelry, and I love it. Any chance of getting a copy of the old pattern? Or will your new version be coming out in the foreseeable future? (Enjoyed your blog, too, while looking for the pattern. My Antonia is one of my all time favorites, too. Ever try AS Byatts’s Possession?)
Thanks very much!
Annika
February 10, 2015 at 11:49amHi Lorraine! Thanks so much for the book recommendation. I will look it up!
I’m not giving out the old version of the pattern, because it would be impossible to support it while writing a new version. I hope I can expedite the process and get it out fairly soon!
If you’d like to get a notice when it’s released, you can sign up for my mailing list. http://eepurl.com/bdW9zr
Thanks again!

March 28, 2015 at 4:23pmHello,
How can I get a copy of the pattern Hospital Hat? I am trying to knit a simple hat for a newborn with Patons Silk Bamboo.
Thanks,

May 18, 2015 at 3:40pmHi Rose,
The pattern is not currently available. I am reworking all of my free patterns to be consistent in style and quality with the rest of my line, so they are all offline until I’m able to complete the updates.
