I was tearing up at the end of that. That really is beautiful. I kind of want to share that around my friends and see if anyone knows Katie the Prefect to pass that on to her.

Wonderful story. Haven’t read or seen any HP, but I know what childlike enchantment and fantasy feels like. Can’t wait to have moments like that with our kids.

Sexist reporting on sexism! Yay!
In this otherwise factual article about the NYPD being reminded that women may legally be topless, I was struck by this ridiculously sexist sentence: "One man even said he would encourage his wife to join them." HOW NICE OF HIM.

Star Wars fans are crazypants.
In 2010 a photographer sought out and photographed decaying Star Wars sets in Tunisia. In 2012, a group of fans traveled to one of the sets and fully restored it.

Shocker: Hollywood is sexist.
In news that is surprising to approximately nobody, roles for women are at 28% and declining, despite women making up more than half of movie-going audiences (a fact Hollywood vehemently denies despite actual studies).
