Sam keeps asking me that and it’s breaking my heart into pieces.

For Christmas, we spent nearly $50 getting him LEGO Batman and Robin minifigs. The sets are discontinued, so we paid $40 for just the figures plus $5 shipping on each. They might be replaceable, but for at least the same amount of money again, and the price will probably go up as time goes by.

They’ve been missing for at least a week.

I hope hope HOPE that they are somewhere in the house, but frankly I don’t even know where to look. When they first went missing, I thought I had put them somewhere. I remember stowing them away safely when Sam brought them in the car one day–maybe in my purse–but they aren’t anywhere I’ve looked (which is all the places I think I would have put them). I don’t know where in the house Sam would leave them. He has a habit of just dropping whatever he’s playing with on the floor.

In the last two days, Grace has been trying to put things–toys–in the trash can. If she was doing this before we noticed, they could be long gone.

I want to find them, and if they’re gone I want to find $50 to replace them. Both seem unlikely right now. I never thought I’d be this worried over Batman.
