Hold me, I’m scared.

You guys, I just realized I need to go to Michaels and/or Jo-Ann this weekend. THE WEEKEND BEFORE CHRISTMAS. Oh lordy. How did I let this go till the last minute?

I need to purchase:

  • 26 buttons for Sam’s present
  • flannel for postpartum pads
  • dowels for Sam’s present
  • fabric for quilt binding
  • heavy duty stabilizer for diaper bag
  • white embroidery floss

And I think there was more, but I already don’t have enough money so I hope not. I can do without everything but the buttons if I have to, though. (Etsy shop is still stocked. Sales are abysmal. Whine, whine, whine.)

Oh, god, I keep meaning to go to a Jo-Ann for a new Ott Lite bulb (I can’t find them anywhere but there!) Don’t remind me. I’m sure as heck not going this weekend though. ;) Good luck on your outing. Maybe it won’t be so bad!

I went to Jo-Ann this Monday night and it wasn’t so bad. Bummer about your Etsy store. If I weren’t broke, I would totally buy one of your felt stove-tops for my two younger ones.

Y’know, the Jo-Ann near my house NEVER seems to be that busy. Maybe it’s the teensy parking lot – if you can’t get more than 20 cars into the lot, you’re not likely to have more than 50 people in the store. (‘Course, I’ve never tried it just before Christmas.)

if you don’t mind ,um, rather festive pads i have 2 or 3 yards of flannel with vintage looking tiny cowboys & cactus all over it that i will send you. i’m never going to use it. my MIL got it for me when i was PG with henry. i already sewed a million baby blankets w/o it and can’t think of another use for it.

I went to the UK equivalent this morning (saturday) and it was so quiet that I got what I needed and went straight to checkout and we were done in ten minutes, I was expecting stress. It was snowing though so that might be why no one bothered to go out today

We got approx. 20 inches of snow the weekend before Christmas, and now, I can’t go anywhere!!! (Hopefully, tomorrow, I’ll finish digging out the car :)

How did your shopping trip go?!?!

Stay strong! I went to Michael’s last weekend intending to buy yarn, but they were out of what I needed. I managed to get out with only a $4.99 AA-operated alarm clock in bright orange that perfectly matches my bedroom. (It was my Xmas gift to myself.) Just stay focused. I believe in you!
