I Survived Black Friday

We went shopping today. I KNOW, WE ARE CRAZY. But wait. We went to ONE store that was having a Black Friday sale, and it was a tiny boutique bra shop. Owned and operated by Jenette Goldstein. YES, I MEAN VASQUEZ. She has now seen my boobs. And sold me a black nursing bra. (It might be silly to buy a nursing bra before my milk comes in and giganticizes my boobs, but no sillier than it would be to buy a non-nursing bra six weeks before changing my name to Bessie.) We also went to the hardware store, the button store, the yarn store, and the army surplus store. We are mad adventurous.

We considered stopping at Frys (or Best Buy) because we need blank CDs and a card reader and why not buy them on sale, but the parking lots were crazy so we were like FUCK NO. We can buy them tomorrow or Sunday or even next week.

We broke up all the boring shopping with a stop in Griffith Park where we rode the carousel, the ponies, and the train. Well. Only Sam rode a pony. Will and I would probably break them.

Thus concludes this incredibly boring update. What did you do today?

This is what we did: On the way to the airport to go for a flight we stopped at BestBuy to get the TV fixed (it had no sound). Since it would cost more to fix than the TVs on sale we looked around (I know–crraaaaazzzy!). Decided to just take our TV home and do some probing ourselves. Good thing, too, because the crowd was insane and it was already mid-afternoon. So then we took a nice flight and came home to watch the Matrix (yes, I finally watched it–it was weird).

    Oh, and had leftovers. YUM

An update can NEVER be boring when it includes ponies. Trufax!

Yesterday I did a load of boring housework and cleaned out the bunnies’ cage and sluiced it down with boiling water. Then I booked tickets to see a comedian (which I can’t really afford) for Matt’s birthday because I am the best fiancĂ© ever.
Oh and then in the evening we had home-made burgers and drank a bottle of shiraz that was very sexy indeed. Today I have a small headache and feel mildly dizzy. Sigh.

I had an assessment which consisted of introducing a presentation on a group set of lesson plans. We were roundly congratulated, and I was told I’d pulled off a bizarre set of lesson plans “superbly”.

I did this all whilst wearing a short skirt and kneehigh boots, and in front of a really cute guy who I know from my old gym, who I would really like to propose to me. He didn’t.

Wow, nothing I did is very exciting compared to everyone else! We stayed home and ate more turkey for lunch, watched a Buffy Thanksgiving episode twice, then ordered pizza for dinner ‘cuz we couldn’t face more turkey. Oh, and the sun was actually out here, so we went outside and pretended to rake leaves only we really just threw them at each other.

My husband got up and took the car to get a headlight fixed. We stayed in and I drank a mocha. Then we waited till late afternoon and left the house where we scored some snow boots at a store about a mile away using their “sale” price plus a coupon.

Then we came home, had leftovers, and I bought fabric online.

    The End.

Yesterday I went to John Wayne at 5:30 so I could catch a flight to Newark and drive an hour to Mahwah, so I could particpate in a disaster recovery test today.

I foolishly caught a ride from the hotel with the guy coordinating the test this morning. I finished my work on this test at about noon, and I’ve been hanging around a room of frantic frustrated people for the last 6 hours. Customer isn’t testing until Monday, so I think I may go play tomorrow… I wonder how far away Amy is….

  8. Amy Says:

… dude. Vasquez saw your boobs.

  9. Amy Says:

Also, wait a minute … Amy is me!

Cassy! I do not live anywhere near Mahwah! But I do live reasonably near Newark Airport!
