What I should be doing
It is hot and sunny, which means that if I want to take a morning walk I should have been out the door like an hour ago. But you all, I am so tired. Sam has been climbing into bed with me around midnight and I’ve been too asleep to put him back into his own bed, which means our bed has been very crowded. So I’ve been sleeping…not badly, exactly, but not well. I haven’t had a full night’s sleep since Thursday, on account of staying out past my bedtime on Friday to see Andrew Bird, having Saturday’s sleep disrupted at 4:00 by a nightmare (Sam’s) and staying up, and then the two nights of three in the bed.
I am not exactly complaining. I mean, every time I think about it I marvel at the fact that this is no longer normal. I am totally out of it now because I am used to getting a full night’s sleep. It may have taken close to three years, but Sam is a good sleeper.
So maybe today we will wait to go for a walk until late afternoon. That’s not so bad, right?
Of course, the other thing I need to do is dig out my muslin and use it to trace a dress pattern onto. Normally I use white paper but I ran out and since I want to sew a mock-up anyway I can’t think of a single reason not to use the muslin for the pattern pieces. I’ll baste it together, check the fit, and then remove the stitches.
Or I would if I could get myself moving.
Maybe the trouble is that I had a muffin and half a donut for breakfast. Both suspiciously lacking in protein (though the muffin was full of vegetables, so there’s that). Oh and some orange juice because there is just not enough sugar in my diet. Sigh.

I don’t think it matters when you walk, as long as you do…

The only thing wrong with Fat, is it doesn’t contain sugar!
Keep writing. :)

I’m working on a higher-protein muffin AS WE SPEAK! I’m using peanut butter instead of butter. They’re baking now, so we’ll see.
