Incidentally, Sam does not believe me that these pictures are of him, and as a result he is furious. “No!” he yells, trying to push the impostor baby off of Daddy.

I remember looking at baby pictures of myself when I was around age 3 – not realizing it was me. I was jealous that my parents were doing all that fun stuff with her. But then there were also pictures where she was crying, and I felt really sorry for her.

What a cutie pie baby! I can’t tell from the pics, but did Sam’s hair have a reddish tint that young? My red head was born a total blondie, and it fell out and grew back in red.

Oh god. So tiny, so cute. Oh no, my biological clock isn’t ticking at ALL over here! Thank goodness I have a nephew a few blocks away to tide me over in the meantime!

Awwww, he’s so cute. I loved that tiny baby phase and all but I don’t think I’m up to it again. Not for a looong while anyway.

Yes, Sam’s hair was red-blonde from the get-go. But here’s a funny story: my sister was born with red hair and it all fell out and grew in blond. So I think she and Anne’s baby got each other’s hair.

I never had that problem, because I’ve looked exactly the same since I was born. I guess. … Except immediately after I was born. Then I looked like an alien.

Also it’s blowing my mind that that little thing is Sam.

I swear Magrat, our cat, responds like that to her kitten photos. Once in a while Lucas holds up a photo of her and tells her “wow Magrat, look at what a sleek, cute little cat you once were, now look at you.”

And then she glares at him.

And tries to push him off the couch.

But then, that’s her standard reaction to everything.
