Happy Easter!

Wee Bunny

Wee Bunny

It’s the Wee Bunny from Wee Wonderfuls. Made this morning with a lot of cursing and taking the Lord’s name in vain. Very nice. I’m a bloody excellent example for Sam.

Despite my frustrations, it is a very easy pattern and the end result is adorable, as you can see.

I am definitely a beginner:

  • The seams are terribly uneven.
  • One ear is on backwards — I pinned it incorrectly, and thought it was so cute that I left it.
  • I am not entirely happy with the face, but it caused the most grumpiness so it stays.

Little mistakes aside, I am quite happy with it. I cut out a second one that I’ll stitch up…someday.

I think the face is perfect.

I made one of those, but it turned out so pathetic that I got rid of it. I never even finished the face because I was so upset with it. It’s the bottom part that did me in. I think the face on yours looks adorable. I’d like to do the wee kitty eventually, but right now I have a half finished bunny sitting around from the pattern that I paid for from wee wonderfuls. It’s funny because the bear I made for Irina on her birthday from the paid-for pattern turned out pretty good, and the wee bunny made from the seemingly much-simpler pattern was just awful. Mine, I mean. Yours is awesome.

Language skills are very important for children to have, aren’t they? Thus, it’s all good. :)

    I adore your bunny!

So cute! I want one for me. Who can resist bunnies?

Ummm, we won’t even discuss the words Bella has recently learned from me. I told Jeremy the other day how proud I am of how developed Bella’s vocabulary has become in the 4 months I’ve been at home with her. I take some credit for that because I talk to her about everything and explain everything to her. She’s actually quite brilliant! Jeremy said, “Do you also take credit for the F-Bombs she’s been dropping?” Hey, I’m not alone in using that word! I’ve tried to use “Fudge” instead. (I know, I’m a dork.) But now she says “Fudge” too and it still sounds like the F-Bomb when she says it. She is also soooo animated when she says it. This child should be in movies.

As your grandmother would say, every “mistake” makes it your pattern.

And it was worth every curse — the bunny is absolutely adorable!

    Ahem. That will be all.

(Actually, I LOVE the one backwards ear; it just adds to the cute.)
