My United States of Whatever

vsm-90cba45e8c78f6ff5cbebc3fa0c5cb6a

I made this map here. Red is for states I’ve never been to or have only driven through (without stopping). Amber is for states I’ve slept in and/or done some sightseeing. Violet is for states I’ve spent some time in. Green is states I’ve lived in.

EDIT: See the comments for my extensive attempts at correcting this map.

So now I am trying to figure out why I included West Virginia and Delaware. I…had an egg sandwich once in Delaware? Eh, good enough. I don’t know about West Virginia. Will got a speeding ticket there in 1998 when I was in the car…

Wait, why is New Hampshire on there? Whose map is this?

I made a new one but I am not sure it’s any more accurate.

    I fail at mapmaking.

    Nebraska and Wyoming? But why?

Ugh, Wyoming should be red. What the hell, map? I think it is changing every time I look away. Nebraska is amber because we went sightseeing in Ogallala on our cross-country drive when I moved to LA. Iowa and Arizona were also just drive-throughs.

You know what? I need to redo this again and designate the colors differently. Never been there is different than only drove through.

ONE MORE TRY. I think I got it right this time.

States that are not colored in, I have never been to (but may have flown over). States that are colored red, I have driven through without stopping (gas/coffee/potty breaks do not count as stopping). States that are colored amber, I have spent the night in and/or done some sightseeing. States that are colored blue, I have stayed in for more significant visits. States that are colored green, I have lived in.
