Dear Internet,

I have had a crazy-busy week. Monday must not have been too hectic, since I don’t remember anything about it. Tuesday I saw Land of the Dead, the new zombie movie from George freakin’ Romero, which was TOTALLY SWEET. Wednesday I spent all day writing my review. Thursday I spent almost all day on the long-neglected laundry, then went to a screening of Rob Zombie’s new movie, The Devil’s Rejects (which remarkably has no zombies in it). Today I am trying to relax. And I know of no better way to relax than to sit in front of the computer for hours, reading stupid shit on the web. But today? Today, dear internet, you have conspired against me. There is nothing to read! No one is updating blogs, posting on forums, or otherwise entertaining me!

It isn’t fair.

Here I come to save the day!
I just finished my Deadwood review, especially for you.

  2. I totally want to go and see Land of the Dead, just because your review made it sound so cool. Even Eaf, the horror-hater, wants to see it.

Also, I updated twice on Friday and the look looks once! They were throwaway posts, though. I just don’t have the energy at the moment for epic updates. Maybe I should work on the draft I’ve had since before I had that really bad week.

  3. Hi. This is Jay, Lauren’s boyfriend. I’m a big zombie movie fan. Okay, I take that back, I’m a big Romero zombie movie fan. I saw Land of the Dead the first day and I loved it. I really think it’s Romero’s best work followed by Dawn and then Night. Day was really bad. Anyhow, have you seen the Australian movie Undead yet? I have really low expectations for it.

Also, very few movies scare me anymore, which is part of why I love the horror genre. It’s the search for scary, y’know? So, what do you think is the scariest movie ever? Mine would have to be Session 9. Thanks.

  4. LAUREN HAS A BOYFRIEND?! You’d better be the awesomest guy on earth. That’s all I’m saying about that.

I haven’t seen Undead but my husband has and he says some of it is great and some of it sucks. Which sounds like most horror movies, really.

Scariest is The Haunting (1963). No contest.

I read where someone totally spewed over their film magazine while watching that movie.
