Hi Annika - Sarah (Silent Movie Theatre Girl) is fantastic. She'll kick the caterer's ass for you. He didn't get us our contract for weeks and then it was incorrect (sound familiar?) and I called and harassed him daily to no avail, then finally called Quiggs (Sarah) and she kicked his ass for me and we ended up getting $100 knocked off the total. If you need flowers, Chris Matsumoto in Culver City is amazing and not exorbitant. The marriage license people seem to be there all the time, but they can't always get the license to you in one hour like they say - we picked up ours the next morning. They open at 8:30 a.m.

I feel like an expert. I should get paid for this shit.

I have one of those artist models. The wooden one. Is that the one you have? Mannikin? Anyways, I want to use it to learn to draw. But, seriously... will it help?

I LOVE the Art Store.

I need to sit down myself and work out the contract for you. Formalities of course.

xx

Gah! So frustrating! I sometimes wonder what it must be like to work in the wedding industry, because what for the people getting married is a one-off event, the "happiest day of their lives", and just generally an all-round huge deal for them is business as usual for the caterer, etc. But they SHOULDN'T ACT LIKE IT IS, dammit. Part of their job is to make the couple feel special and honoured, not add to their stress about the big day.
